Training aims

The Master's in Financial Engineering (IF) offers intensive, one-year professional training in financial engineering professions. Its objective is to train specialists endowed with a triple financial, legal and tax competence in order to master the operations and arrangements of corporate finance, prepared to integrate the global dimension of the problems to be dealt with and their strategic stakes in an international environment.

Training organization

The Master's in Financial Engineering allows for active pedagogy and appropriate supervision of projects and group work. The Financial Engineering Master is a full-time course (initial training). Classes take place from September to December, Monday to Friday (exceptionally some Saturdays). The Master's includes 400 hours of teaching in the form of lecture seminars, case management and discussion, group work, conferences, presentations, etc. The writing of an applied research dissertation completes the training.

The Financial Engineering Master's teaching team is made up of professors-researchers from the university as well as recognized professionals in their fields.

This training is intended to train high-level executives in corporate finance for careers in financial institutions, large companies, investment funds or audit and consulting firms.

Graduates of the Master 2 in Financial Engineering practice in-depth financial management professions in group financial management, financial advice to companies, investment fund analysts (venture capital, LBOs, etc.), account managers for large accounts in investment bank…

Skills expected at the end of the training

At the end of the training, the graduate is:

-with a triple financial, legal and fiscal competence in order to master complex operations and arrangements, in particular high-balance-sheet techniques and their consequences on the bottom-of-balance sheet;

-prepared to integrate the global dimension of the financial problems to be dealt with in order to put them into perspective with the strategic environment of the company;

-open to international environment;

- able to analyze motivations of each stakeholder, to find partners to achieve the objectives set and to adapt his practice according to his role (analyst, consultant, banker, etc.)

-operational in the practice of technical financial engineering: In-depth financial analysis of companies and groups; evaluation (companies, specific assets, projects); international risk management; the setting up and analysis of corporate finance transactions (leveraged buy out, private equity, mergers and acquisitions).
