Is considered international student any person registered at the University and who does not have the status of Tunisian citizen or permanent resident within the meaning of the law on immigration.

Such a student must hold a valid passport and an entry visa upon arrival at the University. Since the visa is not required for nationals of certain foreign countries, it is useful to inquire at the Tunisian Consulate in your country of origin or, failing that, in a neighboring country with a Tunisian representation.

The documents to be provided for the visa application are as follows:

– 2 passport photographs

– 3 visa forms provided by the Tunisian Consulate,

– photocopy of the first 3 pages of your passport

– photocopy of the registration certificate and payment receipt.

NB: The delays to obtain the visa can be long and vary according to your country of residence. It is therefore important to take steps as soon as you have received your final registration from the UAS.

When should you arrive?

It is strongly advised to arrive at least one week before the start of the course in order to find accommodation and familiarize yourself with your new environment.

For more information on the dates of the start of the academic year, please consult our website at www.uas.ens.tn

What to plan for as finance?

UAS does not have a loan or scholarship program for foreign students.

Foreign candidates who wish to pursue studies in Tunisia must ensure, before leaving their country, that they have sufficient financial resources for their studies. Proof of sufficient funds must also be presented to the Tunisian authorities to obtain the necessary residence permits.

Although it is difficult to accurately assess a student's budget, the following table presents an estimate of annual fees, not including tuition.

NB: These amounts are offered as an indication / euro rate 1 € ~ 2 DT

What climate and what clothes to expect?

Tunisia enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Winters are rather mild with some cool and rainy days. It is however necessary to provide warm clothes, more adapted to the fight against humidity than to the fight against the cold.

Summers are dry, often very hot and sometimes last until the end of October. It is therefore necessary to bring summer clothes, preferably cotton.

Average temperatures: in winter: 10°C to 18°C – in summer: 25°C to 35°C
