    The Industrial Engineering programme is based on three complementary pillars, ensuring a balance between scientific foundations, managerial skills and applied industrial expertise, as well as core scientific and technical training: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science and Engineering Sciences (Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, etc.) (15%), management, economics and decision-making training: Industrial management, quality, Economics, accounting, supply chain management, entrepreneurship, marketing, technical and economic decision-making (22%), specialised training: Analysis and design of industrial systems, Lean management, reliability, optimisation, simulation, Industry 4.0, projects, work placements, final-year project, etc. (66%)

    Course objectives

    To train versatile engineers capable of designing, optimising and managing complex industrial systems, incorporating Industry 4.0 technologies and methods, in order to support the performance, innovation and sustainability of organisations. The department aims to develop professionals with technical, managerial and entrepreneurial skills, capable of thriving in international environments, making decisions in uncertain contexts and contributing responsibly to industrial and societal development.

    Target skills

    An industrial engineer must be able to:

    • Design a production system.
    • Organise and optimise flows (materials, information, energy).
    • Managing industrial performance.
    • Continuously improve processes.

    General skills:

    • Ability to design, implement, test and validate solutions and methods.
    • Ability to master engineering methods and tools.
    • Ability to draw on resources from a specific scientific and technical field.
    • Ability to lead and manage a diverse team to implement projects.
    • To integrate into an organisation, drive it forward and help it develop.

    Specific skills:

    • To innovate and design organisations, processes or products.
    • Ensure the smooth running of the supply chain, procurement, manufacturing and distribution.
    • Assess a situation and draw up functional specifications.
    • Project management: design, oversight, team coordination, implementation and management.
    • Managing business operations and change within the extended enterprise in an international context.
