The Civil Engineering programme at ESIET-UAS offers a first-class education for future engineers and senior technicians in the construction industry. Our programme combines scientific rigour with practical expertise to meet the challenges of modern, sustainable and innovative construction.

    Program objectives

To train civil engineers who are responsible for the design, construction, operation and refurbishment of various types of structures, which they manage in order to meet society’s needs whilst ensuring public safety and protecting the environment.

Civil engineers trained at ESIET-UAS are skilled in a wide range of fields: reinforced concrete and steel structures, engineering structures, marine structures, geotechnical engineering, roads, and spatial planning…

    Target skills

A civil engineer must be able to:

    • Mastering the fundamental and technical sciences in Civil Engineering.

    • Designing and dimensioning buildings, infrastructure and engineering structures.

    • Modelling and calculating structures.

    • To study land-use planning relating to water and the environment.

    • Carry out preliminary design studies and analyse the impact of construction projects on the environment and the economy of the region concerned.

    • Be involved in every stage of the construction process, from the ground investigation through to the handover of the completed structure.

    • Assess buildings and structures, refurbish them and increase their capacity and lifespan.

    Areas of application

Building surveys for new-build and existing properties
    Road, bridge and marine engineering
Maintenance and renovation of buildings and structures
Management and coordination in the construction sector

    Career opportunities

    Design Engineer

Technical analysis, design and dimensioning of civil engineering structures (buildings, roads, structures).

    Quality Control Engineer

Verification that work on construction sites complies with technical, quality and safety standards.

    Navigation engineer

Monitoring and coordinating construction projects to ensure that deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met.

    Research and Development Engineer

Development of new technical solutions and innovative materials to improve civil engineering structures.
